What Will I Learn?

The exercises are gentle but effective and totally tailored for pregnant women. Every woman is different so you are treated individually and do what you can. The classes are also a great way for you to connect with other pregnant women and have a chat about everything you are going through.

You will leave the sessions feeling enlightened,  invigorated and toned, with plenty of extra information to follow from home and after the birth. Suitable for those in the second trimester onwards, providing your medical professional says you are able to exercise during pregnancy.

We cover:

  • Safe exercise routines for during pregnancy, including light cardiovascular and gentle bodyweight exercises, which you can also do from home
  • Pregnancy core exercises and breathing techniques to help keep your tummy muscles in good condition, which can help with the birth and your postnatal recovery. Why wait until your postnatal to get fit?
  • The daily moves you need to avoid during pregnancy and immediately after birth to keep your body in good condition
  • Expert tips for after baby arrives to help your body repair including foods to eat, the importance of rest, and safe return to exercise after baby
  • How to manage diastasis recti (abdominal separation) in pregnancy, and other pregnancy conditions such as a weak pelvic floor (the exercises you will learn can really help with this).

Class Details

  • Held on Wednesdays 5-6pm from the 23rd February 2022.
  • At the new Kinetika Two, in Xewkija, Gozo.  We will be using the upstairs studio which is large and well ventilated with big windows, and has its own separate entrance to the rest of the building.
  • Small group only for individual attention.
  • You are welcome to wear a mask if you wish. No equipment is shared and everything is sanitised.
  • €12 per class (or €7 gym members). Please note that as spaces are limited payment is due in advance to hold your spot and a cancellation policy applies. Please see the online booking link here for more details and to book.
Equipment

What to bring

  • Drinking water
  • A fitness mat if you prefer your own and a towel (mats are available)
  • Wear comfortable fitness clothing in layers which you can remove should you feel warm, and fitness shoes.
  • Something to snack on afterwards, such as fruit or healthy crackers.
